Vine Court Sheltered Scheme Garden Transformation
Garden Force Style Makeover
[23/07/2008]
"Over the last two weeks, Pinnacle, residents and Trust staff have transformed the communal gardens at Vine Court sheltered scheme in Stretford, during a Groundforce style make over. A patio area has been created from a drab and unused part of the grounds that housed the old rotary washing lines.
Our grounds maintenance contractor, Pinnacle had been approached by Steve Lynch, the housing officer, twelve months previously to see if they wanted to do a community project by way of a make over at Vine Court. Pinnacle enthusiastically agreed and their contract manager, Dave Littler held a couple of meetings with the residents which resulted in the final design. Pinnacle laid out the patio areas and bought all the plants and landscaping materials, including the delightful three little pigs that now grace the raised sleeper bed. On the 15th and 16th of July Vine Court Residents: Meadows Estate Residents: Pinnacle and Trust Staff worked on the rest of the gardens and planting.
